Since we rarely mix sex with our drugs and rock & roll around here, we'd thought we'd shake things up a bit for Dream Cruise Week 2007 with runway models in every flavor. So this months first installment of MBlurbs will feature stories about Blondes, Brunettes and Redheads, including: a giant blonde who proves she won't "go down" without a fight (Nudge, Nudge, wink, wink, know whatta' mean? Say no more.); a sassy brunette who insists she can teach you a thing or two about "making music" (Right, MAKING MUSIC, very good, say no more.); and finally, a fiesty redhead who spends a lot of time in the bathroom and even more with a "golden statue"(Oooh! Ya wicked Ay! Oooh hooh! Say No MORE) Intrigued you nasty bandhead? Click "read more" below.

Anthony Vallone and Sara Stepnicka of ValloNicka Films in Garden City are looking for music from Detroit artists for "Sometimes in Life", a new feature film that is currently in post-production.
“There’s a reason why Detroit is one of the world’s music capitals,” said director/co-producer Anthony Vallone. “We have a lot of amazing talent here, so it was only natural to dive into our local scene to showcase some fantastic bands in our upcoming film.”
"Sometimes in Life" is the story of two unlikely friends whose lives are stuck in a rut. Jill is convinced that her lesbian girlfriend is cheating on her and Rob can’t seem to pick himself up after the lose of his father.

| Lest We Forget.....There's Always YouTube! |

It's been four years since the war in Iraq began and for most people, that's plenty long enough to become fatigued from daily reports of military and civilian deaths and destruction. Psychologically, we'd rather ignore or avoid the details when we can. It's just too much to process. Hell, I'd bet that many of us cant even remember how we got into this damn war. Well for those who can't, we have a treat for you - courtesy of our "friends" over at HarRockDetroit.com who posted this YouTube video in their forum. I think it bears repeating....Click "read more" below to check it out.

| Interview: Vinnie & Dana from CRUD |
|
Since 2000, Crud has been giving some of the most talked-about live performances in the city of Detroit and beyond. They've been known to wear vinyl, perform in their underwear, wear pasties, play strip joints and have even shared their stage with some scary-ass, bad-mannered puppets. Crud's 'super-charged sex rock' has been compared to White Zombie and Ministry and their latest CD, “Devil At The Wheel”, was described by one fan as, ‘'a thoroughly enjoyable romp through the kind of sleazo, nitrous oxide-injected rock'n'roll that anyone with a taste for nasty guitars and pounding rhythms is gonna dig’. Couldn’t have said it better ourselves. Crud’s label, Full Effect Records, will be sending the crew on tour in support of the international release of “Devil At The Wheel”. I caught up with frontman Vin E Dombrowski (Sponge, Orbitsuns) and bassist Dana Forrester (60 Second Crush) this week via e-mail.
